The signal strength shall be adjustable via software from 100% to 0% in steps of 10%, transmission frequency shall be 127 kHz. Maximum transmission range with an internal antenna shall be 3 m (omni-directional) or, when an external loop antenna is used, shall be dependent on location. Power shall be supplied to the identifier by four 1.5V AA size alkaline manganese batteries or via an external DC power supply (7.5–15V). Total operating time with batteries shall be ≥ 3 months (at 100 % transmitting power, 1 s repetition rate, with an internal antenna and a daily operating time of 8 hours). C
